Gary T Ramadei aka gtr1999 aka gtramadei@snet.net
the warehouse man at Applied Engineering Products

I didn’t pick Mr. Ramadei’s name out of the phonebook. I didn’t become aware of him untiI he started spreading lies about my company

Corvette Forum BEGIN QUOTE 01-18-2000 "I was just talking about the Dr this weekend. .... Some of his items I see advertised are imported and I personally inspected some that I wouldn't buy or recommend. ... Too bad for me because I live only about 40 minutes away from Bridgeport,CT. Take it for what it's worth, I know a lot of people swear by him(or at him)but personally,if I'm spending hard earned $$$ then I expect to be treated better, and will except nothing less."

Corvette Forum 07-10-2000 "Watch out for some of those imports. I looked at several rear license bezels and the chrome was junk!!! I ordered from CC and returned it, I went to Dr Rebuilt and found the same imported junk bezal there. Seems everyone is selling the "repros" but not checking the quality- I'd rather use aluminum foil then some of the stuff I've seen lately."
END QUOTE

The nerve of this Corvette Forum internet basher. Lying about the quality as well as the origin of my products - without ever even seeing them. He had never personally inspected anything at a Corvette show – because the only Corvette show we attended was Carlisle. And he had never even attended there until sometime in the 2000’s. That’s at least 6 year to late for that to have happened. He never examined anything at any show we attended.

In 1994 we stopped attending all Corvette events nationwide with a truck load of products. From 1994 forward we would only distribute catalogs. Mr. Ramadei has literally no evidence as to the quality of the proprietary products we manufacture. He has never even examined anything manufactured here.

He also never visited my warehouse. The only sales receipt I could locate for him, was for the purchase of one sponge rubber seal kit for a radiator & had it picked up by someone else in June 2000. After identifying Mr. Ramadei from his anonymous CF screen pseudonym, his reckless internet libel prompted my attorney to contact him. Truthfully, he folded like a crumpled sack of fertilizer. He had no proof for anything he lied about.

Unfortunately his false negative product information probably affected some.

PS: Mr Ramadei operates a rebuilding service for Corvette trailing arms, steering boxes & differentials. For the record: although I have use the trade name DocRebuild for 40 year - I have never been involved with this type or any type of Corvette rebuilds for the last 40 years, long before he even owned a Corvette. I do not even work on my own Corvettes. No time.

When I need professional services, my advice is to use a well known company like Bairs, Ikerd, Van Steel or Lonestar. Trust those with decades of experience, an actual business license, a real tax number & real liability insurance. Or you can use an over hyped, over priced amateur operating from a garage behind their house – and hope your life & limb is safe & secure in the event of misfortune.

Regretfully the direct Corvette Forum links to his phony statements have expired, because the CF uses a different software today. However there is not a shadow of a doubt he made these phony statements.
