September 9-11 2005 Corvettes at McDorman's
The cars in this building were all Pace Cars and Commeratives.

I like this 1947 Indy 500 Chebby convertible "Official Pace Car". The race program is in the front window.

A nice 1955 Chevy convertible Indy 500 Pace Car. Note the replica of the Indy 500 position pole behind the Chevy.

Besides the 1978 Indy Pace Car bill board on the back wall, there is a 1978 Corvette Pace Car, but I didn't get it's picture.

This is the Indy V8 motor. It's really an Ilmor, made in England. If you pay the right amout of money, they put your name on the valve covers. I saw the Penske team win Indy 1,2,3 one year using this motor.

A few years later, M*rcedes paid Ilmor to be the hot shot at Indy, and instead of Ilmor putting Bowties and Chevrolet on it, instead it had that circular tribar design and the valve covers that said M*rcedes. Then the same motor continued by winning it again.

If you didn't like the Corvettes and more at Bob McDorman's, you just ain't a Car guy.
