2005 Atlantic City, NJ Corvette Event
This Cascade Green with Shoreline Beige 1957 was a one owner until recently. The new owner wife found it in a casual chat with friends. It still has the power top mechanism complete in the trunk and very few items are missing.
I noted the upper radiator hose was a replacement and the top ignition shield was missing. Otherwise it was very stock, but in need of a full rebuild.
The small 2x4 individual air cleaners were original also. Only the oil filler cap needs to be changed to an original. A really good project car to begin with. Not Bubba.
Even this cloth covered heater fresh air intake hose has the old original configuration. Note the 1/2 to about 5/8" wire pitch with spiral wire inside and outside.
The seat covers had been changed from the OEM Waffle style. The seat belts were typical of the 53-57 over the counter style belts of this era. These were stamped Allstate.
This early 200 series VIN was parked in 1980 due to a short in a tail lamp. And then it sat, waiting to be found again. Two to three years, it will be redone.
