Sept 2003 old Diners & an old Boat

Watch out for Moose in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Besides the Springfield Royal Diner in Springfield, Vt. are a few other old style stainless railroad car style diners. I "dined" at all but one.

Below is the Miss Newport Diner in Newport, Vt. about 3 miles from the Canadian border. Note the rounded roof.

Below is the Sunny Day Diner in New Hamphire. Does anyone know the town. I forgot. Note the rounded roof.

Below is the Paducah (sp?) Diner near Weir Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. Although it looks newer, the old diner was cocooned inside a new structure. No rounded roof evident.

However inside the Paducah (?) Diner you can see the tell tale rounded ceiling from the old diner.

Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire is a large lake with 15,000 motorcraft. The Motor Ship Mount Washington is the largest and carries 1200 passengers.

The 3 hour boat tour on the Mt. Washington departs from Weir Beach, N.H. twice daily. A couple costs $38.
