| Olson Engineering = a Scam |
|
| What is he doing? What's the harm
of 30 different Olson Engineering
Wiring Diagrams being offered to Corvette owners
from 1953-1981? There are nothing more than the equivalent to a penny stock
hyped in chat rooms to fleece $22-25 from folk for a poster. Examine
the claims from this advertisement. This is classic false advertising
as defined by the FTC. |
 |
| "match what was on the car originally" -
they match the assembly manual, but the assembly
manual does not even match a real Corvette - and Don Olson has never looked at them,
never circuit tested them, or even photographed them. Factually and sadly,
he has no clue as to what is right or wrong. Seriously had anyone thought
how this fellow could possibly produce these 30 different posters. He hasn't
even ever owned an AIM manual for each year. He just had some of the pages
emailed to him. Talk about an armchair mechanic, this one's skill is marketing
colored hot air. |
| they are just the Colored In Assembly Instruction Manual |
| "all electrical options" - that is if they are in the assembly manual as a schematic, but
the assembly manual don't even include all the option schematics, and since
he never looked, tested or photographed them - Don Olson does not even know what
is missing! Hello: automatic and AC and TCS and CEC are all
incomplete or totally missing. How could he tell, since his only experiece
with a Corvette is via a mouse. He has invented, fibbed and fuged his Corvette
spam very effectively. Many have been duped by his phony Engineering persona.
It's just Olson Corvette Snake Oil 2007. |
| Below: examine this jpeg from
the above advertisement. |
 |
|
| Clear or confusing? What in the above resembles anything
found in any Corvette? It's nothing but a confusing eye test that looks
impressive but is not accurate. Smoke is not supposed to be released
from the wires which happens when wired as above. |

from the above advertisement. |
 |
| "LIGHT BULB DATA" and "FUSE PANEL - FUSE SIZES" is not worth $22.
That is free in your owners manual, workshop manual, even Chilton, Clymer
and many other sources. How ironic with Don Olson's information, you cannot
even tell where what size fuse goes where in the fuse box. You cannot even
ID the fuse box. What an abysmal sham. It is no wonder you generally cannot
view these before purchase. To just see the above, you must join a chat
room that charges $35.00 |
| |
|
|
| Don Olson's only
claim to fame is authoring a phony inaccurate poster and convincing lots
of trusting customers to pay $22 plus. Yuk, yuk have a beer with Don Olson at Corvettes at Carlisle around space G111 - you paid
for his presence at the party. |
